Want to be happier?
Edward W. Smith, motivational speaker, author and TV show host, who specializes in quick tips on how to move your life ahead even faster, offers the following advice.
First, make a choice that you are going to look for the positive in everything you do and expect positive things to come your way.
Next, each day make a written list of all the things you are grateful for. Then, force yourself to laugh for at least 3 minutes straight each day, even though it will be a "fake" laugh. This puts you in a good mood that will carry over into the rest of the day.
Next, find ways to increase the control over various things in your daily life and acknowledge you have this control.
Then, do at least one kind act each day, even if it is at random.
Next, find pleasure in the moment, enjoy where you are at in some way instead of waiting until some time in the future.
Finally, forgive past hurts and wrongs and move on without the baggage of past problems.
